What is NotebookLM?
NotebookLM is an AI-powered note-taking and research assistant tool developed by Google Labs. It uses Google Gemini to enable users to:
interact with documents
generate summaries and insights
create Audio Overviews — which are essentially a podcast style discussion
It was initially released in July 2023 but has since skyrocketed in popularity as users have been experimenting with its Audio Overview feature allowing people to spin up podcasts in a matter of minutes.

All I had to do was link my article, and within minutes, NotebookLM had generated a 15-minute podcast.
The experience was, dare I say, magical — thanks to the ease of use, quick turnaround, and the high fidelity end result. It shocked me just how real the two podcasts host sound, they even have several ad breaks in the conversation.
How can NotebookLM be used?
